Ethics

Ethics Resource Center (ERC)  "The Ethics Resource Center (ERC) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan educational organization whose vision is a world where individuals and organizations act with integrity.  The mission of the Ethics Resource Center is to strengthen ethical leadership worldwide by providing leading-edge expertise and services through research, education and partnerships." [quoted from the web page 11-18-2003]  -----  This site has links under four major headings:  News and Special Features; Organizational Ethics; Global Ethics; and Character Development.

Institute for Global Ethics  "Mission:  To promote ethical behavior in individuals, institutions, and nations through research, public discourse, and practical action" [quoted from the web page 11-18-03]  The president of the Institute, Rushworth Kidder, is the co-chair of Maine's Commission on Ethical and Responsible Student Behavior.  Good things may be happening but this page has a lot going in the commercial arena (even though it is a .org site).

Online Ethics Center for Engineering and Science  "Our mission is to provide engineers, scientists, and science and engineering students with resources for understanding and addressing ethically significant problems that arise in their work, and to serve those who are promoting learning and advancing the understanding of responsible research and practice in science and engineering" [quoted from the web page 11-18-2003]  Hosted by Case Western Reserve University, this site contains a multitude of case studies on various ethical dilemmas.
